MCP

Connect an AI app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), such as Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it to work with your YouViCo projects. For example, you can ask which comments were left on a project or have it reply to a comment.

Connect an app

1. In your AI app, add a custom MCP connector with this URL:

   https://api.youvico.com/mcp

2. Sign in to YouViCo when the app asks.

3. Choose a workspace and the scopes to allow, then approve.

The app can now use YouViCo in that workspace. It stays connected and renews its access on its own. If it has been unused for 30 days, connect it again.

YouViCo sends you an email and a push notification when a new app is connected.

What the app can do

The app uses the same endpoints as the API, with your roles and the scopes you approved. For example, it can search projects, read comments, and generate files.

Warning

Uploading files works only in apps that can read files on your computer.

• To let the app do more, connect it again and approve more scopes.
• Rate limits are shared with your API key requests.

Disconnect an app

Disconnect the app from Connected apps in YouViCo. It loses access right away.

An app is also disconnected when you leave its workspace or delete your account.
